Where the data comes from

Fares, timings, station details and route information are compiled from the following sources:

• Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) — the operator's official published schedules, fare tables and station lists.
• On-the-ground checks — station-level facilities, exit gate layouts and platform direction signs, re-checked periodically.
• Public transit data — station coordinates, opening dates and connections cross-referenced against Wikipedia and OpenStreetMap.

How often we re-verify

Fare tables and per-station first/last train times are the most volatile information on the site. We re-verify these on a quarterly cadence, plus immediately after any BMRCL announcement of a fare change or new line opening.

Route-planner logic and station lists are re-checked whenever a new station opens (last major change: Yellow Line commissioning, August 2025). Station photographs and nearby-place data are refreshed opportunistically.
