About Yellow Line
The Yellow Line is Bangalore's newest metro corridor, opened in August 2025. It connects RV Road (a Green Line interchange) south to Bommasandra, serving the Electronic City tech corridor and the Hosur Road residential belt. Bangalore's first metro to run driverless Made-in-India trains, the Yellow Line addresses one of the city's most congested commutes — from central and southern Bangalore to Electronic City's 200+ tech companies. The line is a game-changer for Electronic City and BTM Layout residents who previously relied on the notorious Silk Board junction. Yellow Line bypasses Silk Board junction entirely — a game-changer for commutes to Electronic City and the Hosur Road tech belt. It interchanges with the Green Line at RV Road, offering seamless connection to Majestic (KBS) and the city centre without changing platforms.
